The development of programmable logic controllers has been highly valued by the government. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry at that time, the programmable logic controller industry association was established in 1991. The programmable controller industry association has played a bridge role between the government and enterprises, communicated the situation, and provided a basis for decision-making. At the same time, the standardization of programmable logic controllers has also received attention from relevant departments. In 1993, a programmable logic controller standardization technical committee was established, which laid the foundation for the further development of programmable logic controllers in my country.
Wider application
At this stage, the application of programmable logic controllers has penetrated into every sector of the national economy and every corner of the industrial process, and has become an important symbol for enterprises to improve the level of equipment technology. In Baosteel’s second-phase and third-phase projects, there are more than 600 sets of programmable logic controllers of more than 30 models from many foreign manufacturers, and nearly 200 sets of programmable controllers are used in the diesel engine production line of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. It is very common to use programmable logic controllers on a large scale like this. During this stage, my country’s engineering and technical personnel have fully demonstrated the ability to design applications, software production, and complete sets of equipment. Recently, in the Qinghai Salt Lake 1 million-ton potassium chloride project, which was designed by the author himself, software development, installation and debugging, the key project of my country’s western development, the programmable controller was used to form the automatic control system of the whole plant, and the programmable The program controller is designed in the MCC cabinet, which realizes a comprehensive automation system covering more than 600 MCC cabinets in the whole plant and covering all technological processes of the whole plant. The application project has attracted the attention of major foreign companies, and Rockwell Automation invited project designers to the headquarters of the US company for introduction.
